After winning the 1997
two-year old futurity for the BWP/NAD with ascore of 77% SIM was
provisionally approved for stallion service in 1998. In 2001 he was
fully approved by filling his performance requirements through
showjumping; the first stallion to do this for BWP/NAD. His jumping
pedigree is unmatched as it contains four International jumping
stallions; NONSTOP ridden by Nelson and Rodrigo Pessoa ; DARCO ,7th in
the Olympics in Barcelona and ridden by Ludo Philippaerts ; FEINSCHNITT
, 10th in the Olympics at Los Angeles , and JASPER ridden by Hugo Simon
as well as foundation stallions COR DE LA BRYERE , LORD, LADYKILLER XX
and COTTAGE SON XX. After winning two championships and a reserve championship in 2001 SIMSALABIM will continue his showjumping career in 2002 with his rider and trainer Stefanie Furgason-Collier, 1998 Rookie of the Year. SIM is the proud sire of BLUE BAYOU B ,highest scoring colt of 2001 ( 81 )and BLACK MAGIC B , highest scoring filly ( 80 ). BLUE BAYOU B was recently purchased as a stallion prospect by Barbara Hansen of Indianapolis and was Young Horse Champion and Cosequin Champion Sport Horse at the Indy Dressage Classic. |
