BRANCO is an imported Dutch bred stallion and was the first stallion in the U.S. to be fully approved as a Belgian Warmblood breeding stallion. His grandsire on his sire's side is RAMIRO Z who stood at the world famous Zangersheide stud and has been judged the most influential stallion in jumping performance bloodlines in the last 50 years. His grandsire on his dam's side is AMOR who was a foundation stallion for the Dutch registry.His dam UGONDA is also the dam of the twice Olympic participant FREUD (s.REBELIZ )showing under the name RADISSON DIAMOND. BRANCO's dressage career lasted from 1987 until 1995 under three riders. He attained 14 championships including one at the Wellington Equestrian Festival in 1993 and was second in Horse of the Year USDF first level in 1988 with a 70%. He has sired 3 Horse of the year offspring and is the only living BWP/NAD stallion to have attained that status. BRANCO's outstanding conformation with his long neck and short back give him a natural balance and accompanying grace that few stallions can match. His gaits have been judged as "10" in competition and he passes on to his foals his wonderful fluid movements. BRANCO has sired many futurity winners and first premium foals and his broodmares are passing on his lovely gaits. |
